Well, that’s stopped me buying anything else on line. Both my credit card and my debit card want extra security, code numbers from my phone etc. I don’t feel I want to bother. In fact I might stop using the credit card altogether.
What with that, and the bank stopping us using our very good bank account because they are not continuing with money manager I feel more and more as if we are being shut out of the modern world.
If they do away with cash I’ll feel like an alien. What’s going on with the world?
What is Money Manager?
What a complicated life you lead, Julie.
I don’t believe I’ve ever been asked for extra security numbers when buying on line. Are you sure this is kosher?
I tend to stick with Amazon, and as long as my payment method (usually Paypal) is valid and the bank details are not out of date all I need is my password.

My credit card is Mand S. They want the code, The money manager was Barclays account that moved money between accounts so we never had an overdaraft.

Shame about the money manager but If you check your accounts online each day you’ll be able to take control of your own finances and maybe you won’t need a credit card.
Don’t let it worry you… it’s only money! 😆

PS. Julie, Take care that you’re not being scammed regarding asking for your code. Not sure what you mean by code, are you referring to your PIN number? If so please don’t give that to anyone.
Could one of your sons help you sort this out?

Hi Sue, Not a pin number. The card people want to send a code on the phone for me to give them to prove I am who I say I am. I would like to order more books and clothes but if I have to do that every time I’m not going to bother.
I guess it is becausw we do not bank on line.

Ah, yes, now I know what you mean. BT do the same thing when I have a query (I’ve had a lot lately), it’s simple, the four figure code arrives in a text and you quote it back. Many places do this to safeguard your account. It takes seconds.

I avoid purchasing anything on line unless I know who it is I’m buying from. Be careful about giving information to anyone on line you don’t know. All the best, Muriel
