Elderberries limerick

At last I’ve discovered the time

To snap what should go with my rhyme

I know it’s too late

And we’ll have to wait

‘Till the bird ventures back, but that’s fine!elderberries

Whatsapp

Well, I did it! I didn’t leave you but I added whatsapp to my new phone, understanding that the only people I need to have on there are friends and family.

I tried the selfie phone and ended up with a horrible picture of myself but I left it there for now. All my best pictures were taken by professional photographers. All four of the ‘Lane’ books have a photo of me on the back. I used an old one for ‘A Bend in the Lane’ as I am so white and wrinkly I don’t look so good.

Now my copies have arrived I am choosing who to send them to for a review. Last time I sent ten to Goodreads I only got one review so I won’t be doing that again!

It seems that when I ask for help I get a ‘like’ but not a comment. I wonder what I’m doing wrong. It would be nice to have a conversation, especially as twitter seems to have vanished. I can live without it. Maybe I’ll search for another picture. Diesel again!img_0318

New Theme

Somebody said if I change the theme I might be able to load my photos. OK. I’ve done that but it still won’t work.

I’d be glad to hear if you all like the new theme. if not, I’ll go back to the old one. I’m a bit fed up with the computer as it has a will of its own at present. Just when I was getting used to putting pictures on it stops allowing it! Now I have to find out if the problem is wordpress or the photos. It even won’t load ones it did before! Is this Windows 10’s fault?

I’m going to try again now, with a photo I have loaded before: That worked. New one didn’t.

The Lady in Pink

Last picture from Sciathos. Hubby and I took the bus into the town and walked through the streets down to the harbour. Luckily the rep. had told us about the museum and the open air theatre on the wooded peninsular. What we hadn’t reckoned with was the terrific cafe where the waitress introduced us to freshly made lemonade and the music that was playing was standard American Songbook. We could have stayed there all day.

The funniest time was on the way when we took a little path and a man with an Irish accent commented that I looked good – ” A lovely Lady in Pink.” I haven’t had such a nice compliment in years, if ever! Hubby said he must have been drinking!
