The Lady in Pink

Last picture from Sciathos. Hubby and I took the bus into the town and walked through the streets down to the harbour. Luckily the rep. had told us about the museum and the open air theatre on the wooded peninsular. What we hadn’t reckoned with was the terrific cafe where the waitress introduced us to freshly made lemonade and the music that was playing was standard American Songbook. We could have stayed there all day.

The funniest time was on the way when we took a little path and a man with an Irish accent commented that I looked good – ” A lovely Lady in Pink.” I haven’t had such a nice compliment in years, if ever! Hubby said he must have been drinking!

Anniversary

Wedding anniversary day today and we are going to a charity do this morning and then out to dinner this evening. I was looking for a photo of us together but all I can find is ones he took of me and I took of him. Must put that right today. Of course, there are ones of me selling books with his support but you can overdo this marketing thing!

Sixty five copies of the anthology now bought or ordered. When do I decide to print more? Looking forward to the pantomime casting in early September. Must try to kerb my excitement. I’m like a kid with a new toy! It’s a mix of anticipation and trepidation.

The view from our house.

Hi folks, thanks for staying with me. I’m trying to find an image that will reproduce on twitter so folk know it’s me but I don’t have to change it every time.

I hope you liked the story. I am still working on the poetry anthology and will need to cast the pantomime, probably by September. I’ll be back when I have something to report.
